Back down to 161 again today, thanks to my HCCV diet!
Yaaay! Today Im finally out of my rut! Down to 157.4 lbs. And officially 1/3 of the way done with my juice fast!!!
Back in my green juice groove too. I had 4 glasses of Badass Green today, and only one fruit juice in the evening for dessert, because friends were over and they wanted pineapple coco-mango juice. I did notice though that the fruit juice made me hungry after. I’ll have to dilute any late night fruit juices with veggies )at least spinach) to balance that hunger inducing sugar.
I never ended up going to the gym yesterday or today, though I did clean for a couple hours, which I thinks counts as light exercise. Tomorrow I’m going to pick strawberries and then to clean the house more (bleh) I really hope I can get my bike tires pumped tomorrow so I can go on a bike ride. I randomly got pinkeye yesterday morning, and damn green juice and LOTS of sleep are a powerful combo because its already healing. Went to the doctor’s to get antibiotics- I have a concert with my dad on Friday and I need it to be cleared up by then.
I have a feeling my mom in law is falling off the juice wagon. Sure she drinks her juices but I’ll see her eating fruit or salad o some chicken. She thinks Im too obsessed and should eat a little. THE WHOLE POINT IS NO DIGESTION, lady. Any solid food will stop the detox process. I’m not being obsessive. Its a juice fast, not a juice diet.
Tomorrow I hope to keep going strong with the badass green juice and maybe have that tomato soup juice I keep promising myself. Here;s to tomorrow!! :D
Ok I’m feeling good about my decision today. Made ONLY green juice so far. And if some people drink “Mean Green” this is BADASS GREEN.
1/2 head of Kale
4 Broccoli Crowns
1 bunch of Yu-Choy
1 stalk Rhubarb
Handful Alfalfa Sprouts
4 stalks Celery
2 inch piece ginger
Yields: 4 16 oz jars
Next time I’ll change it to 1 lemon, 3 limes. I had to add the extra orange and 2 extra apples because it was so sour! That way next time my juice will be much lower in the fruit ratio (Though I’m not sure if I should really count lemons and limes as “fruits” cause they have such little sugar!)
Ok so I’m kinda sort of really disappointed and frustrated. Scale hasn’t gone down at all since yesterday. I think I’ve hit a plateau. So I WAS planning on going to the gym and doing all of this other stuff… but now I just feel so bleh. I’ve just lost all motivation. I really need to go though, it’s been weeks and I promised myself that once classes were over, I’d start going again. I’m going to look at some fitspo and maybe it will help.
I’m also thinking- maybe I need to up my juice intake, especially my greens? I’ll try flushing my system with green juices and cutting out super fruity juices. Its gonna take some effort. Seeing the same number 3 days in a row is leaving me feeling bummed and I just kinda don’t want to drink or do anything.
Anyone wanna help with motivation?
BTW- This morning I was 158.8- I’m guessing I didn’t lose because of the “beverages” I was drinking last night. I’ll be lower tomorrow morning I’m sure :)
Apparently I miscounted. Monday marks day 8. I didn’t really have any juice today, I sucked the juice out of one orange in the morning but then decided to do a mini water fast today so my body can get a jump start on purging those toxins from the alcohol and sprite. However I did stop at the grocery store today to stock up on lots of greens and veggies for my juices tomorrow. I’m not going to drink any pure “fruit” juices. I’ll have mostly greens with apple, citrus, and ginger and maybe a “tomato soup” for dinner.
I also finally got around to getting myself rewards for “GW4:160 - Lush Soap, New makeup, and hair dye.”
Yaay for not rewarding myself with food! On my list of things to do tomorrow: Dye my hair a darker/ dirty blonde, go to the gym, get my oil changed, get plastic caps for my juice jars, return the chapstick I bought from CVS, and stick to my juice fast! Awesome here I come!
My next GW/reward to look forward to is: GW5: 155- 2 new shirts, 2 size 11 Jeans, and a pair of flip flops!
For any of you wondering I am still going on my juice fast despite my absence on tumblr the last couple of days. So prepare for a 3 day in 1 update!
These last few days were REALLY hard for me. I felt like I was going to break at any moment. Seriously. Saturday I went to the Chili Cook Off concert to see Incubus -dies- and there was food EVERYWHERE. Not to mention I couldn’t bring my juice in the concert and it spoiled in the car. Then yesterday my family had a barbecue, then my mom invited me over for a yummy healthy dinner but I sat with her and Mike and sipped my juice while they ate, and then went to a “party” last night where there was pizza rolls, and drunkenly made surf and turf (hows that for drunken munchies food , eh?) but I managed to not give in. I DID however give into a shot of rum mixed with lots of sprite and OJ. LOTS of sprite and OJ. So I’m not to proud about that. The alcohol also hit me super hard because 1.) I’ve never drank to get drunk before, just for the taste, and 2.) I havent eaten solids in 7 days- epitome of an empty stomach.
I’m going to be better about that this week. That was my first real “slip up” this time around but I think since I didn’t eat any food-food I’ll be fine. I will still be going to parties throughout this fast since it IS summer and I AM in my youth, haha. But next weekend/any future parties I will be sure to bring water and fruit juices so I wont reach for soda in desperation, and only smoke herb if I feel the need to “indulge” instead of drinking. I don’t really like the feeling of being drunk anyways- its like being high but much more clumsy and physically uncoordinated. I’d rather the mind high without having to worry about knocking things over every 5 seconds.
On another note, Im probably drinking too much fruit juices, especially this weekend. Whenever I’m going somewhere particularly “tempting” I tend to drink green juice in the morning and stock pure fruit juices the rest of the day. Because pineapple orange juice and strawberry grape juice are way more likely to stop my cravings then a green juice, also I don’t get weird looks since fruit juices arent green it doesnt look like I’m “drinking poison.” This week I’m going to introduce back green juices with lemon, lime, orange, and ginger instead of fruits out the wazoo. Since I’m done with school now I can go to the gym now too, just gotta get some motivation (and give my body some time to recover after last nights excursions. haha)
Today I’m going to sleep a lot, drink mostly just water, and go to the mall to pick up makeup and soap. And maybe dye my hair, if I have time. Challenge accepted.
I’ve been doing 50 extra squats a day for May and definitely feeling the difference, I think I will keep doing them everyday, why not.
Love this. I wish I could do squats and lunges correctly, I always feel like I’m doing them wrong, and push ups. I’m need a teacher :(
